Defenceless
Third in my box set of Australian movies. A woman decides not to sign a contract to develop a high rise hotel on the shore of Australia and the other partners kill her husband as payback. There's some pretty graphic rape scenes in this one and some parts that I even grimaced at involving knives and 'ginas. They rape and kill her friend and then mail her the girl's head. Then they rape and bludgeon her pretty graphically in front of her son. All because she wouldn't sign this contract. There's not any dialogue in this film, which is weird, but honestly, it comes off pretty well. It's a unique idea and works pretty well. It's all classical music in the background creating moods and such. The lady ends up going crazy and all cannibal or something, I think. She can't walk right, so maybe she's dead or a mermaid or something, since she goes back to a water hole at night to sleep underwater. I'm guessing there's some freaky symbolism in here somewhere, but I'm a dummy and don't see it. Anyway, she goes back and finds the guys that raped and beat her up, and messes them up real bad by removing and sometimes eating some of their body parts. This movie is ODD.
