1408

Movie about a guy (John Cusack) who's kid dies and the guy decides he is out to disprove all kinds of ghost stories around the world. He heads to this famous hotel where a boatload of people have either died or killed themselves in room 1408. Samuel L. Jackson tries to talk him out of staying in the room since no one has lasted an hour in the room. The movie starts out REALLY good and the suspense is pretty high as more and more weird things start happening to Cusack. I can buy a couple of ghosts walking around and some jump scenes, but when the walls erupt with a wall of water behind a pirate ship painting, it starts to get pretty stupid pretty quick. This movie looked like it had potential and then it fell flat FAST. Not recommended, not that you asked.
