Distant Thunder: Thief in the Night, Part II
This is the second movie in the Thief in the Night series. The girl is telling the story of the dam and her friends turning all crazy for United and such. They try to hide out away from the "the law" and are forced to sneak food from sympathizers. When the group of kids gets caught without the mark they are captured. They are given a speech about a united front and then they are given a choice. One final time: get the mark of Unite or go "out back". They have no idea that when they go out back, there's a huge bloody guillotine for people who don't get the mark. So if you're a christian, you get your head chopped off. Seriously, I had this image in my nightmares for months. My parents willingly put me through this series of movies and they haunted me forever. Now when I go back and watch them, I laugh, but it still makes me mad that anyone would willingly put their kids through these sorts of brainwashing tactics. Again, the movies were filmed in the 70's, so they're a bit hokey with hilarious clothing and dialogue, but they seriously mess with your mind when you're young.
