Shallow Ground

Had potential to be a pretty god slasher movie with some supernatural weirdness going on and a subplot that could work. The acting is about 75% good, so probably good for the genre. Crazy guy covered in blood walks around the woods and then it turns out to be a couple of crazy guys. Then random lady killer in the woods. What ruined this movie for me (not surprisingly) was the CGI. It was only used in one scene where these beetles crawl on the blood kid's face. The beetles served absolutely no purpose whatsoever, so either take out the beetle thing, or honestly use real beetles. It wasn't anything scary or anything. It's sad that a 15 second scene ruined the entire movie for me, but I can't shake ridiculous CGI.
