This movie is brilliant. OR was it horrifyingly confusing. So according to the liner notes on the extras, this movie was made in response to lame American horror movies not being shocking enough. So the Japanese folks (the infamous genius Takashi Miike ) decided to really flip out some viewers. Here's the breakdown (and I'll try not to ruin the ending for you): Son beats mom with a switch repeatedly. Dad gets hit with a rock a couple of times after sleeping with a whore. Dad invites the rock smasher to live with the family. Rock smasher feels up mom until she lactates. Dad kills co worker while filming his son getting beat up. Dad has sex with corpse. Rock smasher films the thing and then goes inside to sit under a clear umbrella while mom lactates in the kitchen. Then the family comes together happily ever after. Seriously disturbing, but oddly brilliant, as I said before.
