The Last Legion
Normally I like Colin Firth in his films, but I just couldn't get into this one. I actually was watching thinking I wish I had something else to do during the film, so I could not waste an entire two hour block of time. Oh well, I did anyway. Colin Firth is supposed to be guarding Young Kid Caesar from his attackers and he ends up traipsing half across Europe with Caesar forcing him to grow up in various ways. There's a random girl that ends up helping Firth out, but he keeps teller her to "stay in the boat" or "stay in the tent" while she ends up kicking 5 times as much ass as Firth. Kind of a campy movie, though it had pretty good special effects and some decent swordplay. I wouldn't really recommend this to a lot of people. Maybe if you're a history major, you could watch it and point out it's historical (not hysterical) inaccuracies, but aside from that, you shouldn't be ashamed to keep this one on the shelf. It's halfway between "Druids" or "Gladiatress" and "Gladiator". Haven't seen "Troy" but I've heard it's up there with Gladiator as well.
